When the second world war ended, Jesus Remus was seven years old and already survived years in solitude, in disease, hunger and fear in the bombing campaign thru drawing with stubs of pencils on scraps of paper, before going into a new school the next year. As a result, he was ahead all other students in normal awkwardness and recieved early attention for beeing artistic.

After his parents denied him higher education and studying, he learned the profession of decorator from 1953 to 1957.

Much Practice with brushs and colour, the way to beeing a painter was short in 1960. He also benefited from two advanced painters in the first and only artist community in the city.

The entry in the abstract, nonrepresentational painting was seamless and 1968 he abruptly canceled it. Together with leftist youths, he publicly reckoned with the bourgeois art.

Finally, the revolt had changed his personality so that, after commune, underground, therapy, yoga and karate, he chose music, poetry, puppets and puppet theatre, which means art in any type as purpose of life.

Years of meditation culminated in 1980 when he became a Sannyasin.

In the 1990s, he started again with painting and paints art history relevant pictures since 2004. From 2000 to 2007 nearly thousands of his paintings, mostly on paper, were sold. Each a sign of his enlightenment.
